Black Athletes - Olympic Competition

On February 16th, 2006
Bryant Gumble made the following remark about Olympic competition:

"So try not to laugh when someone says these are the world’s greatest athletes, despite a paucity of black people that makes the Winter Games look like an NAACP convention."


Similarly,
On February 21st, 2006
Eugene Kane of the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal stated:

"I remember the classic film "White Men Can't Jump," about the humorous trials and tribulations of the talented white boys. So I knew full well the NBA is decidedly excess on melanin. Meaning: There are lots of black folks jumpin', slammin' and gang-bangin' around, but not enough white people."
